Twisted Damascus paring knife

Twisted Damascus paring knife

This chef’s knife was forged from 100-layer twisted pattern Damascus steel made by myself, the knife has a slight convex geometry to aid food release and was sharpened on Waterstones to a hair splitting edge.

The smaller size and slim blade are ideal for more delicate work, and make this knife a perfect companion to a full-size chef´s knife

The ferrule was fabricated and soldered from 4 different pieces of brass and is fitted over a tenon carved in the handle, this ensures maximum strength and good balance.

The blade balances right at the front of the ferrule.

The making of this knife was documented in a series of pictures and some parts of it were caught on video.
